2P+5/2 O2 = P2O5 In this process if you add lime it will fix or it will combine with P2O5. Like CaO.P2O5. so, the reversal of Phosphorus doesn't take place. because of this CaO decreases the P2O5 activity. so, forward reaction is favorable. that means we can remove Phosphorus continuously.
