See lessI think it is a typing mistake only. In place of An Isotropic it should be Anisotropic. Isptropic means properties remains same in all directions whereas Anisotropic means properties are changed with change in directions.

Question seems to seek difference between isotropic and anisotropic material.
Isotropic: This type of material has same properties through different directions of measurement. For Ex: A well equiaxed grain copper metal. The presence of grains homegenise the property along any direction although properties are different in different directions that is what will be explained in next paragraph.
Anisotropic: This type of material has different properties along different directions of measurement. For. Ex: A single crystal Ni metal, it will have different Elastic constant, YS, UTS, etc. when measured along different directions during tensile test. Since, the material under consideration is a single crystal so orientation becomes important.
