      1. What I think the idea of pursuing of MS is not worth if you have the opportunity to pursue direct PHD after bachelor degree.
      2. MS will require again 2 years of efforts. Moreover, the fee you pay is huge and it will definately require you to work after MS to pay off your education loan if you will be taking one.
      3. Direct PHD after bachelor saves your 2 years. Moreover, in India if you get selected for PMRF you’ll be paid a stipend of ₹70,000 per month and various other perks.
      4. If you are getting admission in MS in a top college then go for it I mean it should be under 20. Otherwise in India we have IISc which is very renowned in higher studies and is under 50 worldwide.
      5. Moreover, if you have to do Phd, then go for it now why wait for 2 years.

A Master’s is great, but you’ll have to be able to afford it, whereas a direct PhD will be time consuming, but you’ll earn a decent amount. Research is a grueling career choice however, and Master’s will give you a taste of what it’s like, so that you can make a choice about whether you want to keep going.

      Points to consider:

      • The Institute options
      • Your family’s financial situation
      • The current pandemic situation
      • Your own career ambitions – What exactly you yourself want to achieve

All the best, hope this helped.

If you have an interest in material  science then I will suggest you that you should prefer for MS in abroad specially in Germany. But you should also firstly see your family financial condition then after you should decide.
